Vinings is located just north of metro Atlanta in Cobb County and is immediately adjacent to Smyrna.  The growth and overlap of these two cities has resulted in the local nickname “Smynings.”  Vinings was originally a resort area for the wealthy living across the Chattahoochee River in Atlanta.   The town was known by other names, such as Paces or Crossroads, until 1904, when it was officially named Vinings in honor of a railroad engineer who helped lay tracks for the Western and Atlantic Railroad.

Vinings is home to about 10,000 residents and the world headquarters of Home Depot.  Easy access to I-285, I-75, Midtown, and Downtown Atlanta make Vinings a desirable place to live.
